Building Update

Congregational Dedication Event: Our first Kol Am Shabbat service in our new sanctuary will take place Friday, August 11, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.  We will mark this occasion as a congregation with a special building consecration ceremony just prior to the start of the service.  We will gather on the temple parking lot at 7:15 p.m. and form a procession so that we can carry our Torah into the building for the first time.  More details of this special evening will be forthcoming.   What a joyful Shabbat this will be when we raise our voices together in prayer and song for the first time in our new sanctuary!

Community Dedication Event: The community dedication event celebrating the  opening of our synagogue building has been scheduled for Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.  We are looking into the possiblity of a major Torah processional from Garden Villas West to our new building preceding the 10:00 a.m. dedication ceremony.  Many more details of this special event will also be forth-coming, so please mark your calendars now and plan to join us.

The Planning Committee for the dedication festivities is comprised of Al and Ruth Brown, Roxana Crawley, Howard and Kate Schwadron, Roger and Louise Sirota, and Carol and Jeff Solomon.  They welcome your help with any or all aspects of planning these events, including mailings, publicity, serving as tour guides and greeters, refreshments, set-up, clean-up, etc.  If you are interested in helping out, please contact any of the committee members listed above or notify the temple office, (636) 519-0082 or kolam@sbcglobal.net.
